Each issue of the Cassette zine contains personal perspectives about current issues in the form of first-person stories. General information about each topic is also included to generate a global perspective of the issue.
I decided to use risograph printing as a way to connect with the personal stories, through its unique texture and imperfections. I used a different typeface for every story, reflecting the diversity of personalities and backgrounds of the writers.
Using the risograph printing technique for this project creates a distinct aesthetic, rich in texture and vibrant colors. It enhances the visual impact, complementing the narratives within the zine.
I design the zine spreads with a four-column grid system for a cohesive layout that guides the reader's eye. Typography and imagery complement the first-person stories for an immersive experience.
